Bomba Practice Lab

About this Program

When

Every other Saturday from September 20 – June 7 from 1-2:30pm.

Raíces Cultural Center
20 River Rd., Highland Park, NJ

This program will be held indoors and is limited to the first 12 registered participants.

In case of serious weather conditions, class will be canceled and registered students will receive a text notification.

Who
Bomba is community, a group celebration of freedom and expression! This open practice lab session is open to all levels who want to practice their drumming, dance and song in community with other bomba practitioners and students. 
 
This program is intended for adults and for parents with young adults 14 and over, with the requirement that a guardian must remain present at all times. Registration is limited to 12 participants per session, please sign up early!
 
Raíces reserves all rights of acceptance to the program through the registration process. 
What to Expect

During this program participants will:

  • Practice bomba rhythms, songs and dance in community with other bomba practitioners and students. 
  • Be able to move between drum, cuá, maraca, song and dance as desired to practice different aspects of bomba.
  • Share and exchange tips, resources and experiences with one another.

All are welcome, registration is required.
