Raíces is headed down to the island of Puerto Rico on January 12 for our first leg of sustainable disaster relief and rebuilding support work. While we are there, we will be visiting, helping, distributing supplies to and documenting the work of three grassroots organizations who are working on the ground to contribute to sustainable disaster relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts on the island.
We have spoken to crew members from each of these organizations to compile a list of what supplies we can bring them when we visit. We are seeking the following supplies for donation if you want to give material goods and are local to the New Brunswick/Highland Park area. Please email us at raices@raicesculturalcenter.org or call/text 732-236-7618 or 908-227-5671 by January 8 to arrange drop off:
- Non-GMO, open pollinated seeds
- Medicinal herbs
- Organic teas (green, black, jasmine, earl grey, herbal, etc)
- Essential oils (esp. lemon and rosemary)
- Culinary herbs (esp. oregano, thyme, basil, rosemary)

Help us share the love with our family, friends and colleagues down on the island and share this supply drive list to help get the word out!
