Introduction to Bomba Dance

Join Raíces Cultural Center to learn the foundations of this Caribbean traditional art form. These open, public classes will introduce the rudiments of bomba dance and explore the cultural significance and history of the genre.
 
This class is intended for adults and for families with older children (14 and up), with the requirement that a guardian must remain present at all times. Registration is required and limited to 12 participants per session.

Note: Advanced Beginners Bomba Dance is for students who have completed one or more cycles of Introduction to Bomba Dance at Raíces or new students who already know the basic steps and rudiments of the four main strains of bomba - Sicá, Yubá, Güembé, and Holandés. If you are a new Raíces participants signing up for the Advanced Beginners section, we will follow up with you to confirm previous experience and ensure the class is a right fit for you.
