Raíces Cultural Center’s New Home

The Raíces Cultural Center is happy to announce that we have found a home again. After several months of searching for a location and community that fits our mission and desires, we have been given the opportunity by the Reformed Church of Highland Park, under the guiding hands of the Reverends Stephanie and Seth Kaper-Dale and a staff of multicultural leaders within in the church, to be part of a dynamic and diverse group of people.

Raíces means roots, and as we look forward to the future, we’re excited that our roots are now part of a much larger and firmer network at the base of a very old and mighty tree, the Reformed Church of Highland Park. Through the seeds we planted several years ago in music, dance, visual arts, cultural archive, 4H club, cultural exchange program, eco culture, sustainable gardening component and our new seed bank initiative, we hope to contribute to the progressive flow of the Church.

Our new office will be in “The Cave,” and we should be settled in by mid April. Please stop by and visit us from time to time and don’t forget to visit our website and blog at www.raicesculturalcenter.org.

Once again, Nicole Wines, Co-Director, our staff and I thank the Reformed Church of Highland Park for extending their generous hand and receiving us with spirit and love!
