Raíces Micro Farm CSA Survey

Help Raíces Open a Local, Sustainable Eco Farm

Cold Frame LettuceThe Raíces Eco-Culture Micro Farm is growing. On entering our third growing season, we may have the opportunity to begin a small sustainable, local farm. To start it up and keep this project going and growing, we will need the help and support of our community. We are seeking supporters who want to pre-register for CSA shares and/or support our food to table clean food donation program.

How it works
Members choose a donation level to the organization in return for a weekly small share ($10/avg. 2-3 lbs), large share ($25/avg 7-8 lbs), and/or charity share ($5/share, 2lb donation of produce to A Better World Cafe and Elijah’s Promise) of fresh, in-season, chemical-free produce for 20 weeks from June-October. Members who live in New Brunswick, Franklin Township and Highland Park will have a weekly delivery of produce, while members from other towns will have a weekly pickup time. For small and large shares, members can pay in full (no administrative fees) in advance or in 4 installments with a $5 administrative fee added to each of the 4 payments.

This support will allow Raíces Cultural Center to establish and maintain a small farm dedicated to sustainable and ecological growing practices, purchase non-GMO organic seed stock, donate produce to local food organizations like Elijah’s Promise and A Better World Café, establish a year-round aquaponics system for future 12-month production, and provide educational programming about the benefits of local and homegrown seasonal foods.
