Raíces Caribeñas at the NJ Folk Festival

April 27 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

The New Jersey Folk Festival will present music, dance, and engaging art activities as part of Rutgers Day on April 27th, 2024. Our theme “Garden State: Cultures of Cultivation” will explore the many creative and culturally unique approaches to the arts of gardening, agriculture, and food. Harvest songs and dances, community gardening organizations, seed saving, and more!

Raíces Caribeñas is a NJ Folk Festival featured artist this year, presenting an interactive performance showcasing bomba & plena from Puerto Rico. Check us out 10:30-11:30am on the main stage.

We will also be present in the Culture and Heritage tent throughout the day so stop by to say hello, check out our displays and share your stories of healing at our story sharing station.
