It’s getting close to the end of gardening season and time to celebrate the harvest… and to get seed saving. Join Highland Park Public Library and Raíces Cultural Center’s EcoCulture and Community History program branches for a celebration of the seed and an interactive seed saving workshop.
Our celebration will begin with songs, a story sharing, and a short presentation about the history of seed saving and sharing around the world, and end with a hands-on seed-saving activity. All participants will leave with seed packets, instructions for planting a seed-saving garden next year, and an invitation to return some of their saved seed to the Highland Park Public Library’s Seed Library to expand this important resource of locally saved seed!
