Caribbean Culture & History Discussion Group
Raíces Branch of Community History

Join the Raíces Caribbean Culture & History Discussion Group virtually every other Tuesday at 7pm. For each meeting, the group will be assigned a reading, viewing or an audio clip to discuss. All members are encouraged to submit a discussion question in advance of each meeting to encourage collaborative inquiry and dialogue.

Tuesday, December 7, 7pm.

In our fall and winter cycles we are focusing on readings from the book Aftershocks of Disaster: Puerto Rico Before and After the Storm, edited by Yarimar Bonilla and Marisol LeBrón, as well as documentary films focused on different aspects of the effects of Hurricane María and the solutions communities on the ground have implemented to address the issues laid bare by the María and her aftermath.
