This Raíces Digital Archive collection is a dynamic multimedia project documenting and sharing stories, narratives, and histories of herbalists and healers from diverse cultural backgrounds and healing traditions.
As you’ll see in the collection below, many participants are family members with one another as these are traditions with strong family and ancestral ties. Watch as this collection continues to grow.
Raíces Cultural Center wishes to thank all past, current and future participants and supporters of this project, as we know this dynamic collection will continue to grow. Interested in being a part of this project and sharing your story? Get in touch.
Leon Alirangues, a long time Raíces Cultural Center community member and supporter sent us the above video clip to answer the question “What is healing?” when we first put out the word that we wanted public participation in this project.
Do you want to share YOUR answer to this question with us, in writing, through art or images, or video? Submissions are still welcome Please get in touch with your submission or with any questions about participation in this project.
