Who
Raícitas Family Arts and Culture workshops are intended for families with children 10 and under. If you are interested in classes for children aged 11-14, please contact us to let us know.
A guardian must remain present at all times for children and youth programs. Registration is limited to the first 8 families per session, please sign up early!
Raíces reserves all rights of acceptance to the program through the registration process.
Class Fee
We ask for a donation of $10 from each family per each monthly Raícitas Family Cultural Arts Workshop.
What to Expect
During our monthly workshops we will:
- Share stories and cultural traditions related to the music and songs of Caribbean traditional arts.
- Learn and practice dance steps and rhythmic patterns to accompany them.
- Learn the use of Call and Response (Antiphony) for songs
- Participate in arts and crafts and other hands-on activities related to the topics being explored in the workshops.
