Raícitas workshops will be held from 11am-12:30pm the 4th Saturday of every month throughout 2026, except for December when it will be held on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Who
Raícitas Family Arts and Culture workshops are intended for families with children 10 and under. If you are interested in classes for children aged 11 and up, please check out our dance and drum classes for kids and teens.
 
A guardian must remain present at all times for children and youth programs. Registration is limited to the first 6 families per session, please sign up early!
 
Raíces reserves all rights of acceptance to the program through the registration process. 
Class Fee
We ask for a donation of $5 per participant per class. These class fees help Raíces Cultural Center expand our programming and improve our program space. 
What to Expect

During our monthly workshops we will: 

  • Share stories and cultural traditions related to the music and songs of Caribbean traditional arts.  
  • Learn and practice dance steps and rhythmic patterns to accompany them.
  • Learn the use of Call and Response (Antiphony) for songs
  • Participate in arts and crafts and other hands-on activities related to the topics being explored in the workshops.
