RAÍCES MEANS ROOTS Raíces Cultural Center is dedicated to preserving cultural roots and heritage through the visual and performing arts. All Raíces activities are designed to include an educational component which explores cultural roots and heritage.Although the mission of Raíces focuses on the arts and traditions of the Caribbean islands, we believe that participation in a diversity of cultural activities is essential to understanding and connecting with one's own cultural roots, regardless of what those roots are. Raíces programming helps members of the community maintain a connection with cultural roots emanating from Africa, the Caribbean and the modern day diaspora. |
